Question, Is the Moto G86 5G VOLTE ready?

I have just gotten a Moto G86 5G, Is this Phone able for VOLTE?

16 REPLIES 16

The Moto G200 5G Looks good, But, Lack of Micro SD Extension, and the Ram and Memory Only 8 GB and 256 GB, Plus the Screen Only LCD, 1080 and 2400, The Oled and 1220 and 2717 on the Moto G86, Plus the Micro SD Extension, Ram Boost, I paid Only $299.99 + HST on Amazon for the Moto G86 5G

Also, what on Apps/ Games compatibility?

Can Mediatek be as competitive and powerful as One of the Current Snapdragon Chips?

what of the

Mediatek Dimensity 7300 (4 nm)
CPUOcta-core (4x2.5 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55)
GPUMali-G615 MC2

That's a shame.

So far, the Mediatek 7300 feels smoother, Better than the Moto One 5G Ace I had previously

Would be nice to have a way to order phones W. the Chips that we want, and all that

Mediatek chips are generally just cheaper, and aside from the cost savings, you generally don't want one.  That's not to say that a user can't be happy with a device that has one these chips, but current Mediatek chips are generally worse in almost all aspects than current Snapdragon chips.

Just curious, When using VoLTE, what difference, Aside from clearer Calls?

Faster Connection?

Just curious to understand how VoLTE operates

The benefit of VoLTE is largely on the carrier side of things.  Customers are unlikely to notice any difference in voice quality (despite the marketing material).  VoLTE is more efficient and means that each call uses less capacity.

Too bad Amazon did Not have the 12 GB Ram and 512 GB Rom

Only after googling that I find out that Kickmobile and CSMobiles carry these Rare gems

Also, what is Ram Boost?  How does it work?

My first phone using the Mediatek

Is G86 same as MotoG2005G?  If it is, then yes, the IMEI test confirms it is VoLTE compatible

My phone is a Moto G86 5G

Not the Power Model

hi @makkahn28

VoLTE is supposed to give you better quality of calls.  And of course, there is a technical difference of how the voice is transported, with 3G going away, the voice calls on VoLTE has to routed as a data packet instead of using using dedicated circuit of calls on 3G

the VoLTE toggle button is a carrier issue, PM tries to hide the VoLTE toggle for all phones.  You might see the button reappear if you use a Rogers or Bell sim card.    But what phone do you have? Sometimes, you can use a key sequence on keypad to unhide the button

Also, for VoLTE, the Toggle Switch Button, If Hidden, is it due to Carrier Not Making it visible, Or Manufacturer?

Yes, if network stays on 5G or 4G or LTE, you are using VoLTE.  CONGRATULATIONS

If you see the VoLTE button, toggle it on.  If you don't see it, and still using VoLTE, that means it is on but hidden

Need to ask these, If when making a Call, and the Network, say I have it on the 5G, and when making call, the 5G remains and does Not drop to 3G, does it mean the VoLTE is working?

Also, does the Toggle button enable VoLTE need to be on the Phone's setting for it to be enabled?

Or not necessarily?
