Public points

I am in the old rewards program but would like to upgrade my plan. Will it automatically enrol me in the points system if I change my plan? I want to keep my rewards as they are.

You ask a valid question, one that many others have also asked.

The 'newer' Public Points program is all Public Mobile appears to advertise under their Plan Descriptions.  While it's understandable they would promote this, it has (regrettably) caused many to presume in order to change plans, they MUST migrate over to the new Points system.

Good on you for checking here first to establish that is not the case.

Just don't switch, ever, and you'll be fine and retain your Legacy rewards.  They are superior in almost every way, especially the Loyalty aspect.

Please note that the Legacy Rewards are connected to your public mobile account and not the subscription or plan you have. Changing plans will not affect your monthly rewards.You will keep your monthly savings. If asked to switch to the new system, 'opt out' as your savings $ $ are more beneficial on the old Legacy Rewards. Switching is irreversible.

My understanding is that you do not have to change your reward points plan when changing plans.  Do not choose to transition to the new rewards plan.
