I'm a Public Mobile client. My wife also wants to switch but, when she enters the IMEI for her unlocked iPhone 6, she gets the following message:
"Your device has not been reported as lost or stolen.
The Network Compatibility check cannot be performed at this time. Please try again later."
This has happened repeatedly over 2 days.
Any ideas what's happening?

@FitzOttawaThe IMEI check on the PM website only checks to make sure that the phone has not been reported lost or stolen. If your wife's iPhone 6 is currently being used with one of the three major providers or their sub brands then it will work with PM.
Edit; Forgot to mention that you should also check to make sure that your wife's iPhone 6 is not locked to her previous provider and if it is aske them to unlock it.

Blacklists are maintained by different groups depending on location.
You can use this link to check as well

Based on the PM check feedback "Your device has not been reported as lost or stolen.", your wife's unlocked iPhone 6 should be good to use with Public Mobile.
