I've been trying to port my #. It didn't work so I cancelled with the new provider. Now my current number won't work.
I'm wondering if someone could either manially port it over OR reactivate my old one.

hi @Ellie9009
you can, but you need to arrange with PM support agent first. And as a minimum, you need to buy a new sim card or new esim and activate as a new account. After activation, PM will reassign you the phone number if the number has not yet ported over to the new carrier
But check with PM support agent first

Best to contact a CS_Agent to help you activate your account.

Hello.
I was but I cancelled it and now I just want my old account active with Public. I called the number and the system found it but the number is not active.

You need to contact your new carrier to see if your number has been ported over to them. If you cancelled the porting then porting was not completed.
You need to reply to the text from the last carrier with YES confirming you are porting over to the new carrier.
If porting was not completed with either carriers then your number has been returned to the carrier you originally got the number from. So you need to contact them.
If the original carrier was Telus/Koodo/PM. There is a slim chance you might get it back. So dm a CS_Agent.

If your number was from any other carrier then it is gone.

Call 1855-4PUBLIC and enter your number. if the system able to find your account and provides the account status, then the number has not been ported out. But if the system said cannot find the number, then your number was already ported to the new provider.
