Hi, I currently have an esim number with you guys and my next payment is May 26. I want to cancel this account before the payment comes out and port a number from a different carrier to replace this account?

Need to keep your present PM account active.  Then port over your number from a different carrier whenever you want.  Then the different carrier phone number will replace your present PM phone number.  The PM account plan will stay the same just with your different carrier phone number.  Once ported, then your other carrier account will be permanently closed.

Here is some information:

Hey @Pe_pe3

I would suggest creating the porting request via the other service provider on the 22nd of May as the next payment comes out usually within 48-72 hours to May 26th. Once your new provider sends Public Mobile a porting request, you'll get a text message from PM asking permission to port. Once you say yes, just watch for the Public Mobile name disappear from the top of your phone. Once that has happened, then pop in the other providers SIM card or make their eSIM primary... but not until after it's ported.
