I have a number through public mobile however the service is canceled. How do I port the same number to a new service carrier?

Hello @ Kevin82,

Please use this link to the Public Mobile Chat Bot which will direct you to creating a trackable ticket.

https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html?lang=en

A Customer Service Agent will reply to your community inbox here:

https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/privatenotespage

During business hours (9 AM-10 PM EST) you can expect a response within 30 minutes, but it may be longer depending on current volumes.

Whats the customer service line for telus or public mobile to speak to a cs agent?

How do I port to telus?

@Kevin82 You need to contact customer service at Telus, tell them your account here is closed (how long?). They will help you.

How do I port to telus?

@Kevin82

Your PM account can't be inactive more than 90 days.  If more than 90 days, your PM account will be permanently closed and number lost.

Normally, you will need to receive port request text.  I have not personally ported in this situation. You may need to contact Telus porting team to help finish off the port with inactive PM account to Telus.

Only number from active account can be ported out, no exception

You will need to pay and resume the service if you need the number

@Kevin82

You need an active account with Public mobile to port your number to another carrier.

One exception is if you want to port to Koodo or Telus since they are part of the same company.
