Hello,
I just activated with public mobile and we tried to port and it wouldn't go through. My Bell account is still open and I would like to port my Bell number over to Public. What is the process that I need to do to do this?

The recommended process used to be just Account Number, Phone Number, and authorized Name on the account.
Worked smoothly for me, coming from Freedom.

I ported my Bell number about a week ago and it was smooth.
When I ported from Bell, I suppied the account holder's name (it needs to be an exact match), phone # being ported, and the account number without dashes. A Bell account PIN (4 digits) is not always necessary so leave this out and try again. If it doesn't work, try again with a PIN.
Good luck and welcome to the Public Mobile community 🙂

You login to selfserve, and go to change number. There you select port a cellular number. The information I use and has always worked smoothly is Account number, PIN, and the name on the account (EXACTLY as it appears) and have no issues with porting. If you have done these steps and are still having issues you will need to contact the Moderators and a link to send them a private message is below in my signature.
I have always been the minimalist and entered the minimum required information. So I just supply the account number only. Some carrier brands have dashes in their account number. These dashes must be excluded in the entry otherwise the port will fail on incorrect information.

If the the portal hung or something try incognito mode and just use bell account number and your bell account name.
If you get an error during the number check message the mods with the above details...
