Porting number from Public Mobile xxx xxx xxxxx to Roger’s Mobile (by replying “yes” to confirm the number transfer text message). After which the temporary phone number xxx xxx xxxx was assigned. The transfer to Roger’s Mobile was successful, the number xxx xxx xxxx did not successfully transfer, leaving only the temporary numberxxx xxx xxxx in use. Please help retrieve the original phone number and have it successfully transferred.

PS I have tried all the tricks from soft/hard roboot, to Network Reset, to iMessage/Facetime on/off/on…really frustrating.
Anyone know if they can retrieve my old account number?

Problem is, that after the transfer was deemed successful (which it wasn’t) my account with PM was closed…and it seems (I’ve been told) PM can no longer pull up my old account (Roger’s said they’d take care of it IF I could provide my old account number).

Reboot the phone , remove PM sim and test again.
and why there is a temp phone number? if the port out of PM was successfully , the account would have been closed. Can you check if you can login to PM My Account still?
