Like everyone else, I signed up for the deal and ported my number from Fido. I responded YES to the text asking if I wanted to port, but later got a text from Public Mobile saying I never responded to that request. If I respond with 1 no new text comes through and if I call the number they provided for more assistance, it says there is no porting request for this number. My Fido SIM appears to be working. So does this mean the porting is still on going? It hasn't quite been 5 hours yet...

Telus team is refusing to resend port request. They asked to contact PM

It's possible that was the case, although Fido was still active so I don't know why the text wouldn't have worked. This time I started the transfer, called Fido, they confirmed it. I also had already messaged a PM agent, so they responded saying it was done. So it ended up being super fast

Ok I just ported over and was having the exact issue you are describing. I realized the issue was that I had both my old Freedom Mobile SIM and my new Public ESIM active at the same time. I had texted YES to freedom yesterday and public said they never recieved. Today I got them to retrigger the request from Freedom and initially I had the same issue where support said they weren't seeing the relese even though I had texted YES. Then I got an idea and just tried turning off my Public ESIM. Then I replied YES making sure I was using tue Freedom SIM only and it worked immediately. Hope this helps!

Did you call the Telus team porting number? Telus team should be able to initiate a new port request.
Fido ports usually are done within 1-2 hours at most.
