Thanks for the info @wetcoaster.  It's always better to have first hand experience

Also I don't think speak out has account numbers so porting them is trickier.

@wetcoaster you were on speak out before no?

@mimmo

Yes. The SpeakOut rep told me that they need IMEI and PIN for positive authentification. Having changed devices a couple of times while with them, I confirmed the IMEI with them.

When I first initiated the port it failed, so had to go through the moderators, who also found out that SpeakOut had placed a 48hour lock on the number due to incorrect information provided.

Things might have slightly changed in the past 18+ months, but I suggest that @Dina123 is topping up their SpeakOut account to bring it into active status, contact SpeakOut customer service to confirm the information needed and then have the Public Mobile moderators re-submit the port request with the information required.

I activated Speakout. What is my next step. Thank you.

You need to reactivate your speak out account first.  Then ask mods to redo the port.

I would search the forums for speakout and see what others have done before

It  might be with messaging mods now activate speakout tomorrow this should minimize wait times

It wasn't successful. During activation, or during the self-serve online process, "successful" does not meant that your phone number has been transfered.  The message is only telling you that your request has been received and that Public Mobile has assigned the phone number to your account.  Public Mobile does this before the other carrier has even had a chance to reply.

 You cannot port an inactive phone number.  Was it inactive when you made the request?  You will first need to reactivate your Speakout service.
