After activating your SIM, remember to keep your old SIM in your phone for a text confirming you are porting over to PM.?Reply to the text with YES within the 90 minute window.

@Wjp you can check to see if your number can be ported from this Koodo website (Telus owns Koodo and Public Mobile), so, same allowances here:

@Wjp No worry, you can request porting in after you activated. Just login to My Account and click Change Phone number ,select "Transfer a wireless or.."
Follow the steps after. it is better to enter the account number of your old provider instead of your IMEI
