How do I port my existing Petro-Canada Mobility cellphone number to Public Mobile? I have an active Public Mobile account but the number transfer does not work.

When I created an account during sim activation, I setup a temporary phone number when I could not find Petro-Canada in the drop-down list. After I logged into the account, I used ztar in the drop-down list to port my number from Petro-Canada. I received a text message on my phone with the old sim from Petro-Canada at 11:09 AM saying that a request to port my number to another provider had been received and asking me to contact them if I had not authorized the transfer. I was expecting some message later from Public Mobile that the number port had been completed. I continued to check my phone and email for some message but eventually noticed that I had no connection to the Rogers cell network. At this point, I logged into my Public Mobile account and saw that the phone number had been changed to my original number from Petro-Canada. I then installed the Public Mobile sim at about 3:00 PM and received a text message that to complete the number transfer to restart my phone. I was now good to go!

Call Petro Canada mobility, tell them that you are porting the number to Public Mobile. You will need to open a ticket with Public Mobile, let them know when Petro Canada Mobility complete their port, provide Public Mobile with the IEMI number of your device with the Petro Canada Mobility SIM card. This will complete the port process.

@RTinIB , the number porting process is shown in the links below. Please make sure to keep your Petro Canada mobility SIM in the phone to acknowledge the number port.
