Poor reception

We switched to public mobile from freedom, but all of us are experiencing poor reception on the network, its very frustrating. 

Hopefully public mobile can fix this problem, right now we family of 4 are paying for nothing.

@RZH , Public Mobile does not offer roaming in Portugal, so there should be no expectations that there would be any connectivity.  You have to understand also that if and when there is roaming abroad, the network performance is determined by the roaming partner not the home network.  Exactly as you said, the home network for Freedom is bad.  This is what matters most.

what is poor reception? voice issue? data?

what phone do you have? 

do you have physical sim card? did you try your sim on another phone?

did you try Reset Network Settings on your phone? did you try changing your network mode to 4G only or LTE only?

I switched to Public Mobile from Freedom nine months ago for the same reasons as you — poor reception for my iPhone in my part of BC 

Freedom worked great in Portugal but lousy on the Sunshine Coast whereas Public Mobile has been outstanding thanks to the Telus network

@RZH   What phones are you using and how long ago did you switch? Have you tried resetting your network manually? This will erase any saved wifi passwords, but might be well worth it. If you still have issue after that, you can individually try to have PM do a network refresh on the back end for you. You can start the conversation using the orange chat bubble on the bottom right. Hope this helps

@RZH , what area of the country are you located?  Are your phones current and working with VoLTE?  Generally, the Telus network is far superior to Freedom.  I came over to this service because I could not handle the poor reception and I have not had any such issues here.
