Hello, I got a text advising that I had used 75% of my data which I suspected was correct based on my phones tracking, but when I go into my account it only shows that I used 1.23g of my 8gb which is far less than 75%.

The text that PM sends out regarding your data usage, can be...erroneous. Best to log in to your self service account and check data usage on your data dashboard.
Using incognito mode, log in to your account...that sometimes changes the data usage meter.

It probably your data counter app on your phone. It is on a monthly cycle. PM is on a 30 days cycle.
You data usage on your account is up to date so just ignore your phone reminder or adjust the counter to 30 days.
