My plan expired and once it did I went to upgrade/renew my plan from 1 month to 3 month, with Canada wide calling, unlimited text 6gb data, however when I topped my account up I got billed 55.00 for the 1month now I am unable to upgrade to the 3 month because I now have a remaining balance of 80.00

For future reference - if you want to change your plan you should do it before your current plan expires (make sure you future date it, don't do it today).  Once your plan expires you can't change your plan yourself, you can only re-activate your existing plan.
