I just ported my number from TELUS to PM
While text messaging works fine as well as my apps I cannot make or receive voice calls
The Pixel 3 uses a micro sim card and the PM sim card I purchased at London Drugs is
much too large for the phone.
Any help would be appreciated, when I signed up the system said the phone would work
tks..............dave

@totalUser likely using RCS which allows you to text over Wi-Fi. The new android feature like iMessages on iPhone.

Quick question @dnevillebc
How did you test your messaging if you didn't use the sim? Did you try it on different phone?
Make sure that your phone is allowed to use 3g, that is needed for calling so lte only is not a good setting

I think we should wait till OP replies about his sim. He stated it's to big and people have informed him that it's a punch out.
Let's see if he figures that part out before recommending to contact moderators.
Ports from Telus / Koodo (not Koodo prepaid) are usually (not saying all the time) very quick. Not hours like other providers that need to release the number since Telus owns Public Mobile.
The other reason OPs texts are working (like he said) is that they are likely using RCS which is the fairly new text message feature like iMessages for iPhones which allow you to send texts over Wi-Fi
Just my thoughts......

@dnevillebc It sounds like your SIM didn't provision properly. Contact a moderator and ask them to reset your SIM. Click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen. This connects to the autobot Simon. Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one (CLICK on "Account specific question" and "No I want a human" and "Submit a ticket Click me!")
Once connected, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password. Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent. Also keep an eye on the envelope, the mods answer will show up there. Once it does, you will be asked to verify your self service account, with your password and login. Doing so allows the process to continue.
If you need to, you can also enable email notification to receive a private message notification sent to your email. Go to your community account > my settings > PREFERENCES > Private Messenger > enable "Receive email notifications for new private messages" > Save
Welcome to PM. Stay safe.

@dnevillebc @Hi it sounds like your port is still in progress may take a few hours you must still be using your Telus sim?as stated above it breaks into 3 pieces

@dnevillebc these cards are a triple punch sim card. You can pinch out the micro sim from the package and insert it in your phone.
Cheers!
