Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but when I send an MMS to friends on their end it doesn't always show up and it fails. I have turned on/off the Google messages features, but it doesn't make a difference it seems.
I have checked all the APN settings and no issues there. I can receive MMS no problem and if I send myself an MMS both send and receive are fine.
Has anyone else had this issue before? I had an Sony Xperia Z1 on PM before with no problems. But now have a Google Pixel 2 and this is when the MMS sending problems started.

@mpcdesign Yes, I have data on all the time that is not the issue from what I can tell
@gblackma the issue exists off multiple carriers. I do not have WhatsApp. I'm starting to think that it may be a file size limitation where my friends on older phones cannot receive the image as the Pixel 2 camera takes up to 5mb per image.

@mrelf007 , it doesn't sound, like a PM problem. Is this to all your friends, across different carriers, or just ones on a particular one? It may have something to do with that carrier's max file size settings. To test this, if both you and your friend are on whatsapp, send the same mms message to them using he app.

@mrelf007, did you turn on your data? For example, if you type a long-winded text, it fails. But once I turn on my data, it gets sent out. I always conserve my data, even though I have 5gigs, I will turn it off.
