How do I retrieve my four digit pin to add funds to my plan by using my phone

You can reset the four digit PIN here
https://myaccount.publicmobile.ca/en/account/reset/pin
if you forgotten the PIN or if you have never set it up, you will have to reset it yourself.
First, login My Account using a browser. After you are logged in, then use this link to setup the new pin yourselfhttps://myaccount.publicmobile.ca/en/account/reset/pin
