I have read lots of conflicting information on this topic. So I thought I’d post this topic to be sure I get the latest and greatest. Apologies to all for any repetition. I just need to be 100% certain of the process.
I currently have a physical SIM. Santa is getting me a new iPhone which is eSIM only.
What is the process to switch from physical SIM to eSIM?
I cannot afford to mess up anything related to my phone number.
Thanks and Happy Holidays. 🎅👍🏻

the key part is to login the app with your credentials. After you login the app, they know it is your account and this is how the eSIM link to your phone number

That’s it???? 🤣 How will the system know to associate the eSIM with my phone number (dumb question perhaps).?
Thanks BTW. There won’t be any coal in your stocking this year!

no worries, steps are easy and you won't mess up
To buy new eSIM, first, download the PM app on your new iPhone and login. It will send you a 2FA via text and you should be able to receive that on your old phone with the physical sim. Just in case, you have problem with receiving 2FA code, click "Didn't Receive code" or "Resend code" and choose either Send email or Send voice message
Once logged in, Click Account from the bottom, then click Purchase SIM Card and select eSIM.
Once it confirms your phone is eSIM compatible, click Pay $ and Install and follow the steps to install the eSIM
