I have just onboarded with Public Mobile and have managed to port over my old Telus number but my Texts are showing up with the temporary number I was assigned. This is causing a lot of confusion to my contacts. How do I match my text number to my cell number? Thx!

Once my number was ported over I removed my Telus SIM. I have restarted the phone. Presently there are some of my texts arriving from my correct number and some from the temp number. I am hoping it will soon be fully resolved. Thx!

If your Telus was a prepaid service, you are required to pick a temporary number during the porting process which you did.
Next step is to contact a CS_Agent by private message on the envelope icon on your computer or tap on your avatar>Messages>pen/paper icon on your phone to complete the porting of your old number.

Another option is to turn on Airplane mode then turn it back off.

Do you have your old SIM still in your phone? Have you restarted your phone since changing over to Public?

Thx for your prompt response. I have removed my Telus SIM after the number was ported to end my contract with them. I have reset the phone a couple of times but have not yet managed to resolve the problem.

@PaulThomas Try resetting your network . See if that helps . Does the old Telus sim still work ? . If so there’s a number for live support . Porting team . Can help .will send your number private message . If you need support I’ll give you that link here also
