So can someone tell me how I can remove my $ 5 dollar fee I have to pay for every month even though I am totally deaf and have been on Public Mobile for 3 months now with only using my phone to try to stop TELUS Scams they want you to buy.
Worked once, that is it so I won't be using the phone again. And boy will I let TELUS have it once this Covid-19 is passed us all. I know it is not much only $ 60 a year but it is just stupid..? I donate a lot of money to charity that I would rather keep that going rather than paying off a Cell Phone Company that has no understanding of people with disability and their limitations..?
If I let it go it won't make any difference from my last Cell Phone Company that does not give me a headache as much as dealing with a Online Robot who keeps repeating himself over and over again..! Pretty sure you have all experienced it for to long a time.
If anyone knows a way to remove the phone bill every month on your Self Serf account please let me know..?
Thank You, HughT

@Nezgar yeah all plans are broken up this way if you look at your transaction history.
its also strange that it is 100 minutes and not 500mins. I only say that because for 5.00 you can purchase 500 mins in add ons. hmmmm.

I do get their point though, it would be frustrating to have to pay for voice service you'll literally never use. There should be a really cheap text only plan available for such cases

If so he needs to realize that the Texting function is a part of the voice plan as well.

I think what @BLEEP is referring to is the way the $15 plan is broken up in to two segments in the transaction history:
100 Minutes Canada-Wide Talk/100 MINUTES d’appel au Canada | $5.00 |
30-day plan/Forfait de 30 jours | $10.00 |
Unfortunately, the $10 + $5 is just the way the $15 is constructed under the hood, and there is no way to actually separate them...

So lots of questions....
If you have not been able to use a phone, why did you apparently sign up with Public Mobile only three months ago?
Lots of mentioning Telus rather than Public Mobile and combined with the fact that there is nothing here that costs $5 a month Every month, I’m thinking maybe you really have a Telus prepaid plan which DOES have a recurring $5 text add on available. IS it possible that you aren’t a Public Mobile customer but are really with Telus?
Also I used to have a Telus tablet plan that was $5 a month if you didn’t use it at all. If you did use it the rate stepped up each month depending how much you used it and then reset to $5 at each renewal.
In any event, lots of complaining about a company that quite likely is not at fault for whatever the problem actually is......

I would honestly rather pay higher price then just see it come up on my bill every month like I was trying to say its useless and I use TEXT MSG'íng and Internet a lot to help me communicate with my friends and family. Hope that answers your question..?

@BLEEP I don't understand what charge you are talking about. There is no $5 plan.

Hi @BLEEP
If you login to your selfserve you can just click on payment then manage your credit card than delete this card
This will stop your public mobile plan and after 90 days off inactivity your account would be terminated forever.
But if you want to deal with Telus account, that one i don't know you should contact Telus about it.

Hi @BLEEP , not sure what 5$ fee you are referring to? Do you have a 5$ plan? As far as i know, Public mobile does not have any automatically recurring fees (other than the plan fee). Could you please provide additional details. How does it show in your self serve portal in the billing section?
