Pausing my plan

Is it possible to pause my plan and still keep my number?  I’m not using my phone as I’m working from home.

@Pstone If you are planning to suspend your account for an extended period of time, please have this a read. If you are on a plan that is currently available, you might want to downgrade your plan to $15 one so you pay minimum amount to keep your account active.

No, it doesn't. Public Mobile never ran a credit check on you.

@Pstone ,

Suspending your account will not affect your credit rating.

Missed Payments

No effect on credit ratings.

If you miss a payment due date, your account will be put into a suspended state, meaning you will be unable to use your phone services. You will have up to 90 days to make a payment, and after doing so your payment cycle with restart and your service will resume. After 90 days, suspended accounts are permanently deactivated.

There's no official "pause" feature. You can report your phone as lost/stolen, but that will not "pause" your plan's remaining time from being used up. Deliberately not paying so that your plan doesn't renew is an option, but be careful not to allow the account to be suspended for 90 days or your account will close.

Not pause but you can let your account go into suspended status at next payment due date. Remember at 90 days the account is deleted and number is gone so set a reminder to log in around 85 day mark and reactivate your account.

Just disable auto-pay if you have auto-pay on. You can do this by calling 611 or through your account. Click payment then manage auto-pay.

Or you can simply remove your card for time being. Click payment then bottom left manage my card.

At next payment due date the system won't get any money and your account will be in suspended status. Reminder to set reminder for around 85 day mark to reactivate.

Yes, you can. You have 90 days from your renewal date to pay. Pay on the 85th day in case there are problems. Remove autopay.

Yes. Renew every ~4 months. You then have a "month" of service and then ~3 months suspended. Don't go over say 85 days suspended or else you lose it all.
