Just some advice to anyone needing to purchase a sim card.
DO NOT purchase them from Public Mobile online!
Contrary to what the website says here:
https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Get-Support/Important-Update-Canada-Post-Strike-amp-S...
They ship them via Canada Post! Even though, as we all know they are on strike and are not shipping anything.
This is what I was told (Dec 13 2024) by a PM Support Agent after I told him the website indicated:
"...we are switching to alternative couriers for the duration of the strike..."
<quote>
"We have contract with Canada Post, we do not know when and how many days
they are or will be on strike, for the moment this is the situation, I gave you the options."
<end quote>
Best regards.

I got mine shipped during the strike in 2 days, my wife a week later had it in one day, no problem. They obviously are not using Canada post.

Some customer service agents may provide wrong information at times.
According to some new customers, they have received SIM cards from Purulator (with Canada Post on strike). It still will take up to 5-10 business days to arrive. With the Canada post strike, the other couriers are swamped with orders so it will take some time.

I'm Beginning to understand why Public Mobile has an "F" rating at the Better Business Bureau.
I was hoping that the service would be good enough that I would never need to contact any sort of support. However there are too many red flags during my very interaction with "support".
Public Mobile does not seem to be a legit company to do business with.
I have 6 phones that I was considering moving to public mobile, starting with one as a trial. Well the trial has not started and I have already decided this will not happen.
I had place order for the SIM cards at Amazon. But have already canceled the order.
I'm Thankful for the horrible experience early before I transferred any phone numbers.

@John216 Just to add it best to get in person from Telus /koodo stores $10 there or order from Amazon $4.99 there
Find SIM card Find a store near to you | Public Mobile
Amazon
and of course if your phones eSIM compatible no need to go anywhere just activate right away in the public mobile app is another option
