Ordering SIM card issue

Brookesorra
Good Citizen / Bon Citoyen

Hi, I just tried to order my SIM card online and the payment went through but when the page refreshed it said my ZIP code was invalid or something and asked me to enter all details again? Which would result in a second payment? Now Ive lost $11.50 and don't know where my SIM card is going. Help?

@Brookesorra

Btw is it possible you did not order the SIM card directly from Public Mobile website?

To order, did you use this link from Public Mobile website?

If yes, did you pay using your PayPal account?

Otherwise this site specifically asks for your shipping address including postal code and validates it (before you proceed to enter your billing info).

If you see the charge on your credit card statement, what is the seller's name?

If it is not Public Mobile, you may have ordered from a third party seller.

But other than sorting out the payment, are you hoping to receive this SIM Card in time to activate on today's promotion which could be over by tomorrow (end date unspecified so far)? May not happen. I would hit a local dealer to activate possibly getting a feee SIM card but even if it is $10, you will get in on the promo AND can use the SIM card that may eventually arrive to get a friend activated with PM and you start earning rewards,

Best to contact a moderator if there was a double charge and to help aquire a sim card. Contact a moderator by clicking ?, bottom right, and follow instructions to submit a ticket.

Yeah I was just thinking that myself. Hopefully they will figure out where to send it lol. All other info was correct. And thanks so much but I am all the way in Nova Scotia haha

Give the moderators a day, or two, to respond. However, given the current promo, it's worth the risk to get to a store and buy a SIM for immediate activation. https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/store-locator

I'm sure they'll get it sorted for you. When you do receive it don't forget to enter a referral code when you activate for a $10 signup bonus.

It did charge, that's why I'm confused as to where the SIM card would be going and I am possibly short $11.50 for nothing now😕

Also, what do you mean by 'incognito mode'?

@Brookesorra If your payment was accepted, the SIM will be sent somewhere. Hopefully, based on my experience, Canada Post will get it correct eventually. I just received a Christmas card that had the correct address and wrong postal code.

If you want to short circuit the potential delay, and can get to western Mississauga, send me a private message. I have a spare SIM.

No I said ZIP code cause that's what it was labeled when it came back to me saying it was wrong. Otherwise I would refer to it as a postal code

Incognito mode is a private mode in your browser, but since you've been charged, it would be best to get in touch with @CS_Agent as @Jb456 advised.

Is there any chance, based on the part in bold, above, that you're American, and stumbled onto this site accidently, or was that a temporary brain cramp? 🤔  Kinda surprised nobody else seems to have noticed that.....

Haha! yep the ZIP code vs the postal code:)  There probably are some Canadians who use the American terminology perhaps:)

If you were charged you will have to contact the moderators to confirm.

Did you get a confirmation email with a tracking number yet?  Check to see what it shows for the shipping address.  If it's incorrect you should contact the moderators as suggested earlier.

@Brookesorra Check your credit card charges. If the site did not accept your postal code the first time, it should not have charged you. Don't use a space in your Postal Code if you try again. You probably should clear your cache and possibly use incognito mode as well.
