Order Tracking and Fulfillment in Edmonton

pmKar

I just read this article.

It says the web store only accepts order for shipping to Ontario and Quebec.

Does this mean the money I spent to buy and ship the SIM card to Edmonton will never be fulfilled?

@pmKar did you actually place an order for a SIM card with Public Mobile?

If the purchasing process allowed you to purchase the SIM card, then Public Mobile needs to fulfill the purchase/sale.

If it is past 10 days after the order you can submit a ticket to inquire about it.

At this time, we do not provide a tracking number for SIM cards. If you haven’t received your SIM card after 10 business days, please start a conversation with our virtual assistant, SIMon, to submit a ticket to our Customer Support Agents by clicking here.

To contact the Public Mobile Customer Support Agent (CSA)_Team, there are two methods to reach them:

1 -  Faster - Click the bubble comment circle on the bottom right-hand side of your screen,

or use this link to: Get Help With SIMon the Public Mobile chatbot

OR

2 – Slower - Use this link to:

Private Message to Public Mobile Customer Support Agents (CSA)

@pmKar

If you never get it, then there's always recourse for refund, whether through Public Mobile or your credit card company.  Realistically, the order is probably processed, but delivery is another story... Public Mobile deliveries are known to take a month to arrive.  😞

They usually don't allow refund.  But it won't hurt to try.

Just open a ticket with CSA with the Chatbot (the big circle icon on the lower right)

In this case, is there a way to get back the money I spent?

You might try to order via Amazon for its 2 days delivery if you have Prime

Since you can't go out,  just wait and hope you will get the SIM soon.  While many complains they don't get the SIM till the 3rd or 4th week, my friend did get it within a week last time.  So, it could be depend on where you are.

This is a big problem for me.

I'm currently in quarantine and cant go out.

I can't use delivery apps as I do not have a Canadian number.

I chose Public SIM because they can be purchased and activated online. Did not know it would this be much of a hassle to join the network.

I tried looking through existing posts, one said to use the order number with the zip code appended as the tracking number in Canada Post, but it doesn't work.

 you were following this post?

https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Getting-Started/How-to-track-your-SIM-card-order/m-p/...

Since PM takes long to fulfil the order, they might not have send out the SIM yet and hence you can't find the tracking yet?

PM could take long to delivery

if you need one urgent for activation , check local store.  Some stores will give the SIM for free if you have them activate for you.  If you found free SIM, you did lost anything  🙂

I was looking for the delivery time ordered from the website.

@pmKar  AFAIK, they fulfil outside of Ontario and Quebec.

However, please note that it take 3 or 4 weeks for PM to deliver SIM orders.  It's long.

@pmKar

Interesting find!  From what I know, Public Mobile sells to customers across Canada, albeit sometimes taking a long period of time.  How did you find that article?  (What linked you there?)
