It's been 5hrs and my old phone number has not been transferred yet, is this normal?

Did you leave tge old SIM in your phone for the SMS text from you old carrier to reply with YES?
There is a 90 minute window for you to reply so you missed it.
You will need to pm a CS_Agent to have your old carrier resend the text.
