I signed on with Public Mobile and eventually got my payment to go through. I got to the part where it asks if I want a new number or a number transfer, and I chose to transfer. I put in all of my information and did everything correctly, and checked off all the boxes that were listed.
I got the text from my old service provider (Telus) asking of I want to transfer my number, I type Yes. But instead of getting a confirmation from Public, I get one from koodo saying "welcome to koodo".
I called Telus and they told me it was a mistake on Public's end, that Public provided the wrong port (?).
I really don't even know where to begin with this. I don' know where my phone number is (whether it's with Telus, Koodo or Public) ans would appreciate some support.
If it was a mistake on Public's part, can we please do something to fix it? If it was a mistake on Telus' side, can I get some confirmation on this from Public and an explanation how it was their mistake?

no worry about the Koodo/PM mix up, it is not uncommon. PM and Koodo share many things and they both owned by Telus
there is a porting assistance team you can call and ask for update. I can't post the number here, but I will message the number to your community inbox. Please check and call them .
And let me warn you first, it will say Koodo porting department, but that department helps PM porting issue, too (as said, PM and Koodo share many thing , especially in the back office)
