Not receiving a verification code

I have been trying to sign up for hinge, But when I put my phone # in and submit it I never received the verification code I’m supposed to receive, my phone # is correct, I’m turned on and off my wifi and data, I’ve reset my phone’s network settings, I’m restarted my phone. Nothing seems to work. I only experience this issue with hinge because I receive verification codes from everything else I sign up or into. their FAQs mention a SMS short codes message blocker that some celular providers  have but if I receive them for all the other accounts I have I don’t see why PM would just be blocking them from hinge. I am also currently reaching out to hinge as well if the issue is on their end.

The only other info pertaining to this I have is that I made a hinge account a couple years ago, I had PM and the same phone #, but I deleted it a couple months after so I don’t imagine I have a phantom account that’s preventing me from receiving a code to sign up but I’m very confused by this situation.

From what I understand, PM does not block SMS from Hinge.  Check your SMS spam folder

If you cannot find that and you are using Android, try download Google Message and set it as the default texting app.  If you already using Google Message, uninatall it (instead of full uninstall, it will uninstall the updates and restore back to original version it came with the phone), reboot phone and reinstall (update to latest version) and try 2FA from Hinge again
