I just switched from Bell to PM. Ported my number. Waited for Bell to verify. Inserted PM sim. Where the network bars should be in the top right of my phone it says ‘SOS’. Iphone xr, unlocked, active pm account, reset network settings - nothing has worked. I submitted a ticket but got no response. please help!

The only other device I have is my husband’s identical iphone that we have not switched over yet due to my disaster.

I’ll try the itunes trick while I await a response from a CSA, thank you

Yes I replied with yes and my number is already off of their service. I’m not sure what you mean about something downloading…

There could be a couple of different things happening here.  The phone could be failing to connect to the Apple activation server to checking the device's unlock status.  Although new iPhone devices can connect to the Apple server using an internet connection from the actual device, an older method of running iTunes (or the eqivalent current software, not sure the name) on a computer while connecting the phone using a USB cable will run the device activation process.

The other thing that could be happening her would be the service not getting provisioned properly by Public Mobile. For that type of issue, you will need to wait for a customer support agent to reply to your ticket.  While you're waiting, try your Public Mobile SIM card in another device if you have one available.

And you replied to Bell with the yes to confirm?

You might need to connect to wifi and then go to settings general about to see if anything downloads.
