Not Receiving Verification Code

Hi, so as I switched to Koodo from PM yesterday, everything worked fine. Port process was super quick but there is a huge problem. Two services (Facebook & Instagram) are not sending me my security codes via text messages. The voice call option on Facebook worked but Instagram can only send codes via SMS. Please help.

 

Other services work fine when sending verification codes via SMS such as Google, Microsoft, and Twitter. 

 

Is there anything PM can do? Is it too early since my phone was ported? Maybe Instagram and Facebook still think I’m with PM even though it generally says “Telus” in the account.

Update (From Koodo): 2FA finally started working for me today. I was able to sign up again for 2FA on Instagram and I finally started receiving text messages from Facebook for my security codes.

The new number which looks similar is: “327-65” instead of their well known “326-65”.

when you switched to Koodo Mobile
you have to make call to Koodo Mobile Customer service: 1 (866) 995-6636

 

you don't have a service with public mobile can't help you

Since your service is with Koodo now, I would give them a call (hurray! to phone support) and see if they can help.

 

Aside from calling Koodo, have you tried restarting your phone or resetting your network settings?
