I just set up my new sim and switch my number over I have ability to call out and receive calls but no texts

You will probably need to open a ticket using chat bot the orange text bubble on the bottom right. Type customers service or fall the the steps till it let's you open one.

You could try and reset your network settings.  This will delete wifi password as well.

Try putting the sim in another phone.

I also started resting my phone it said to wait up to 5 hours to put my sim in for was not prompted to insert it after 8 hours
