No call waiting

Hey y'all,

I just changed my PM plan and I no longer have call waiting.  I toggle it on in my phone app but it keeps toggling itself off.  I've tried removing Sim card, rebooting my phone & changing my network.  Still no call waiting 😕

There you go. No factory reset. No support. Just us chickens.

Glad it's sorted.

Alright so I did #43# which disabled call waiting and was off in settings then I did *43# which enabled call waiting and the was on in settings.  Just tested it out with 2 phone calls and call waiting is back on!!!  Thank you so much!!! 🤗

I guess before you factory reset the phone, open ticket with support and ask them to confirm on the system side and see if they can reset anything on their end

Message them here:

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on top right) after the ticket is opened.  CS Agent will reply to you there

And a reminder, if you are going with factory reset, please test the phone first before you restore anything from Cloud backup.  There could be wrong settings restored back and this exercise would be a waste

I was really hoping it was a network issue 😆 since this problem started once I changed my plan.  I'll try the factory reset 🫣

I'm gonna say no to volte as I have no clue what that is lol

I'll try #43# again as I didn't check the dailer to see if it was on and yes I'm trying to avoid factory reset

Has your device been enabled for volte? When you dialed the code did you check the setting again in the dialer to see if it was on? Try also #43# , get the result and check the setting. Is it off? If Android try clear cache of the phone app.

I would always be very hesitant to do a factory reset. Unless you're fine with losing data and redoing all the settings. I hated it.

Alright I swapped Sim cards with my friend & call waiting worked on both phones.  Took my Sim  card back and still no call waiting.  I also rest the networks.

@EmpressB1

if that is the case, it will be a device issue and not network

What you can do now is to Reset the phone to factory default.   You can backup the content of the phone first.  But after reset, DO NOT restore the content to the phone yet.  Try the phone in its default stage first and see if Call Waiting works.

I appreciate your quick response, thanks 😊.  I just tried it and a pop said it's enabled, but my 2nd call is still going to vm

Appreciate the quick response, I will try the above.  Thanks 😊

@EmpressB1

did you try your PM sim card in another phone just to confirm it is not a device issue (since you said it keeps toggling itself off)

Also, on your own phone, try to click Reset All Networks and see if it helps
