I was just wondering why I am routinely showing data use at night around 12-12:30 am when phone is snoozed and on wifi? some as high as 600mb? Makes no sense to me as unit is on wifi at that time of night. Seeing varying amounts of data around that time, some 200mb, some 120mb etc. I get there could be the odd back ground thing that might need data but no way should it ever be that high?

Thanks for the information, Mayor Phil. Your answer does raise a couple of questions, though.
1) Some of the uploads from my phone, which behaves in a fashion similar to the OP, are as big as 500MB. I'm assuming there is no way these can be adding up in my usage allotment, correct?
2) Do you know what sort of data is contained in the tally? Half a GB of data is a lot of information. I don't wear tinfoil, but what is my phone reporting?

The data usage is reflected in the remaining amount immediately. It's only the additional details about the usage for each individual day that show up in the usage history that are updated twice per day.

Never thought of that thanks
