Added new sim account and new phone number (not transferred) and someone else is answering the phone. Messages aren’t working anyway.

This likely means that Public Mobile has mistakenly been given you a phone number that is already in use. This is an error that comes up once in a while. If that's what happeneed, you'll need to choose a new phone number.
