New phones new esims?

I have an iphone that I currently have with public mobile. I want to give that phone to my wife who also has a public mobile on an older phone.  Will I need to get a new esim or can we just change the associated phone number for that phone?

For my brand new iphone, I undertand I have to download the PM app and get a new esim.  I can keep the same number I was using?

@purechoice As your wife already has an account she can just put her physical sim in the new phone or she logs into the app on the new phone with her account info and buys an esim.

The new iPhone, as long as you download the PM app on that new phone, login the app and buy new eSIM, the phone number will go with it

For the old phone to give to your wife, you need to subscribe a 2nd account with another email address
