I am soon getting my third phone up and running with PM. My previous two were straight forward number transfers from active accounts. Does anyone know if you can request a number that is currently not is service? I had a number with Bell through my work some time ago and the line was disconnected when I left 5 months ago ( I called it the other day and get a not in service message). I would like this number back as would save a lot of time changing my number everywhere. Thank you

If you do talk to Bell, don't be too honest about your intentions.  You don't have to tell them about wanting to use the number elsewhere.  Just tell them you want to come back, especially if they can pull the old number out of the system and assign it to you.  That would be a good incentive for the agent to do some work to find the number for you.

@kds440, if that number is with Bell, it probably still is with Bell.  Public Mobile would not have access to that number.  What I suggest you do is contact Bell and try to see if they will be able to assign that number to you in a plan.  Once you put that number into an active Bell plan, you can then port the number over to Public Mobile.
