I just opened a new account with public problem is I had to take temporary number and the transfer my old number. When I set up the account I had installed a public SIM. Card. Problem I have now is the SIM card has recorder my old number and the eSIM has the temporary number. The issue is the eSIM is active and my SIM card is not. Can I just activate the SIM card or do I have call telus

if it is the iMessage number showing the wrong one on the settings, remove it first, reboot the phone and then add the correct one back
For the number, call yourself from another provider (Rogers or Bell), if your PM sim rings, then you are good, the port was done
And to confirm you can open ticket with PM support by direct message here and ask them to confirm if the port was fully completed

The phone seems to work - calls and text it just my IPhone under my number shows the temporary number and I can change it to my old number. So I’m confused as I’m receiving text and calls via my old number. Is there a phone number I can call Telus to get sorted tomorrow

iPhone- my account shows my old number but the eSIM shows the phone number I chose as as the app wouldn’t complete the transaction when I tried to enter my old number. When a choose a new number the setup when through. After that I as for old number to transferee over

I have the eSIM activated and I have approved the transfer of my bell phone number to public. I did confirm the transfer with Telus. I have received a email from bell indicating they have my the transfer and my bell sim has been deactivated

@Jay302 if you just activated one account, did you pick physical or eSIM??
With porting, a common misconception is that a temporary number will be assigned. It is not. If you choose porting , no temporary number. You will be using only the number you want to port. The difference is that until porting is done, the sim, whether physical or eSIM, can make outgoing calls and just not able to receive calls
Can you clarify if you have only activated one account, and if you have picked physical or eSIM??
