Receiving a message "your current sim card requires one or more Mobile Equipment Personalization codes before the Mobile Network will be available.?

Under Unlock Network, both Network Subset and Service Provider is Unlocked.

The Sim card has been used succesfully in another phone.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for reply.

Previous Service provider is Bell.

They provided a 16 chr code that was to unlock the sim card.

Under network settings it is indicating the Network Subset is Unlocked and Service Provider is Unlocked.

It is looking for some kind of Ppersonalization codes before the Mobile Network will be available.

Appreciate your assistance.

@Rustydon

I have not heard about any personalized code before.  Have you tried rebooting phone with PM Sim card?  Did you put a PIN on your PM SIM card before?

Thanks will give that a try.

@Rustydon  When you insert you Public Mobile sim card in your phone if it's asking for a code it means that your phone is still locked to Bell.

Once you phone is unlocked you will be able to connect to the PM network. Until you get your phone unlocked there's not much you can do.

You need to call Bell and insist that they provide you with the correct code.

@Rustydon  If you activated your PM sim with a temporary number then you can access your selfserve account and port your number from Bell. Just select the change number option and enter your Bell account number, name on the Bell account and the Bell phone number.

Been down that route.  Service provider Bell gave me a 16 chr unlock code which I used in the phone.  The phone indicates it is unlocked.

Called Bell again and received an Account # of xxxxxxxxxxxxx which they indicated to give this to new service provider. How do I get that number to a service provider??

@Rustydon Your phone might be locked to the previous provider. You must get the Network Unlock PUK code from your previous provider.
If your phone is a Samsung you might be able to get an unlock code from the Samsung website via a chat
To start a live chat session from Samsung's Contact Us page: http://www.samsung.com/ca/info/contactus.html?CID=AFL-hq-mul-0813-11000170.

Hope this helps!

@Rustydon

The phone most likely is locked to a different provider.

You could get it unlocked for free by calling that provider.

Is your new phone locked to previous carrier?

If locked, you can contact previous carreir to get unlock code. It should be free service.
