Need help in using HOTSPOT in US

I have can-us-mexico plan. I use hotspot in canada with no problem with my other devices and family members

I recently traveled to alaska . I found out when I turn on hotspot , my family member still connect to it but no internet access, while I have no problem using internet at all.

So what is the issue here? I am going to US again next week and really hopping that I can solve this issue

If you are on the cruise ship. You need to connect to the ship’s wifi. When you are at the port of call. You can connect to AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon network but enable Roaming for your family members can hotspot to your phone.
