Hi, I joined public mobile for the special promotion (Promotion be4 Easter). I went to one of public mobile retailer(walmart). There should b no charge if i activated in store. I showed all the detailed to the staff in walmart, however, he insisted to charge me $10 for the sim card and told me i have to deal with the carrier itself. Therefore, how can i get the $10 back? Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to get the sim card for 0$ as the retailed did charge you. I can assure you that during this promo period (which ended yesterday), the sim cards were available at 0$ if activated in store. Now, we did receive your message however it may take some time tor receive a reply so please keep an eye out on your private messages 🙂

I actually disagree. The customer describes making reasonable effort to obtain the free SIM card Public Mobile advertised on the promo but the retailer apparently insisted the promo details weren't valid. This is an issue between Public Mobile and the retailer (at least one Walmart location), it's not the customer who is at fault or who should pay the price.
I do agree that @nickwinca should contact the PM reps. I think it's likely they'll choose to "refund" the $10 with a one-time credit to account balance.

I had a similar experience except I went to Wow mobile boutique because they were listed as a retail partner and were much closer. In my case though the CSR said they were unable to activate and I would need to do it online myself which I did. I received the one month service credit on my account within hours and hoping there is a remedy for the SIM reimbursement to complete Public Mobiles’ offer. Seems to be a disconnect between the two parties surrounding this promotion. Other then this glitch things went smoothly.
