A couple months ago, people could see my name on their phone when I called them (when they didn't have my number saved). I saw that it was the name on my account and I wanted to change it so I did.
Since then, my name doesn't come up on people's phones when I call them. How do I fix this?

If your name and number is in your caller's phone, your name will show up. Otherwise, only your phone number will usually be displayed.
Public Mobile does have "name display" for phone numbers not saved on your phone, but only for incoming calls. The carrier of the person calling you must transmit the information, and as you said for cell phones, that's only Rogers and Fido. Calls received from landlines are a different story (it's a bit more universal).

The other thing is if you have an iphone, you can go to settings > phone> caller ID and enable it (green)
otherwise i would google search how to enable caller id display on your specific phone make & model.
Goodluck.
There isn't anything anyone can change on the phone to send a name. This is an action that the network would have to perform, which Public Mobile does not do. Enabling/Disabling call display on the caller's end has an effect on the phone number shown or not shown on the receiving end, but this isn't related to name.

I've tried this a few times, and I have never had my name show up on a device on the receiving end if my number isn't saved in that phone. Your name isn't supposed to show. If it did before, there nothing to fix because this is not a service that Public Mobile has ever advertised. Public Mobile doesn't send the name with an outgoing call.

All you can do is have the show my number (or whatever it might be called in your phone) on. Then they would have to add you as a contact.
Maybe they already did and now maybe you've inadvertently turned off the option.
I'm kinda surprised and doubtful with what you're saying "(when they didn't have my number saved)". I don't know how long PM has NOT shown the name of the subscriber. Do you have a really old grandfathered/pioneer plan?

Hi @ahadtareen ,
The name will only show up if the person you are trying to contact has your number saved in their phone with your name.
There are some apps(Truecaller) that they can download that display name sometimes without them saving you as a contact.
Cheers

What you mentioned shouldn't be possible @ahadtareen . Usually your PM number shows up when you call people, not your name. The only people who would see your name would be those with your name in their contacts. What's the make and model of your phone? And how were you able to accomplish that before? Thanks.
