A few months ago my mobile data stopped working. It will rarely (very rarely) work, but usually not. When I turn on mobile data, the mobile carrier logo in the system bar is a solid right angle triangle - no plus, no LTE, no 3G, just a triangle. When mobile data is off there's an X next to the triangle. My setup:
Moto G Falcon
LineageOS 14.1
Android 7.1.2
My PM mobile data has worked perfectly on this exact hardware/OS for maybe a year. I didn't change any settings as far as I can remember when the problems started. Before this, my Moto G had Cyanogenmod which also worked perfectly fine with data. I would frequently turn on/off my mobile data and it worked. Text/chat/wifi has always worked perfectly. Phone seems very stable.
I have tried: I have lots of unused data from my add-ons when I check online. Restarted phone plenty. Mobile data is turned on, not in airplane mode. After the problems, I "reset my APN settings to default" after the problems but it did nothing (and I think those settings were already default).
What other information can I gather to get to the bottom of this? Is it PM, is it me, is it my hardware? I can do anything technical if pointed in the right direction.
Cheers

Thanks for the thread. I had done a search but didn't find that one.
Something in that list fixed my issue. I'm glad I didn't have to do anything more dramatic like a system upgrade/reset or network reset (again).
For future visitors, this is what I did from that thread:
After airplane mode I saw the 3+ symbol appear. So it goes.

Good questions. I very rarely use my mobile data. Maybe once a month I'll want a map (which wasn't saved offline) or there's some important reason to check my email. So yes this has been bugging me for a few months, but not bugging me much.
Like many phones, it seems to update itself periodically. I would narrow down a patch for you except I don't know exactly when I started having problems. This problem wasn't the result of me manually updating anything though, or agreeing to update anything.

Were there any updates done before problem started?
Why you have not contacted Community few months ago?
