Missing refer A friend reward

Hello, I joined Public Mobile on December 1st, 2021. When I activated my account, I input my friend's referral code. I was told that after 3 days I would receive $10 credit and my friend would get $1 every month. However, until now, both of us didn't get the rewards.

I've tried to submit tickets many times. However, every time the procedure was stuck at the step of verifying the account. Neither SMS and Credential verify worked. 

 

Can anybody tell me how to get the missing rewards?

@BKNS27 I think you are confusing this post and/or promotion.

 

  1. OP activated on December 1, 2021 - OP is NOT eligible for the $5/6 months (this is only if OP referred someone, and they used the OP's referral code in December 2021). BUT their friend who's referral code they used IS eligible.
  2. Yes, OP should be eligible for the 2GB and 500 Minute add ons if the activated in December 2021.
  3. OP is saying they activated, not referred a friend.

Due to timing you have a few issues intertwined. The initial issue being the referral code not being recognized when entered during activation. This has been an ongoing glitch for several months now. This also causes a **bleep** effect (gee I wonder if that's going to get bleeped?) as it not only affects the $1 reward and $10 bonus referral credit which is easily fixed by a CSA but it affects your $30 bonus referral credit which may or may not be so easily fixed and will take you being very insistent that your referral code was entered when your friend activated. You and your friend should follow this basic procedure:

 

  1. Have your friend contact customer support to have your referral code added to their account. Have them specifically mention that it was added during activation and they have been informed buy the community that there has been glitch affecting the registration of referral codes at activation. Have them keep their support ticket open and have them supply you with the reference ticket telling the CSA that you will be opening a support ticket in regards to the $30 bonus referral credit.
  2. Once you see the $1 reward appear in your rewards section of your account you can open a support request referencing your friend's support ticket # and ask for the $30 bonus referral credit ($5×6 months) to be applied to your account. The first of which was applied to accounts on January 7th. Be sure to remind the CSA that you should not be penalized for a known pm glitch if the CSA gives you a hard time about applying the $30 bonus referral credit.

Don't take "No" for an answer. Come back here to ask for more advice if necessary to recieve the $30 bonus referral credit. Good Luck.

 

Here is the only way I contact customer support without fail you may choose to do the same.

Send a private message...   Contact the CSA's (formerly moderators) by sending a private message and leave a detailed message explaining your issue and the info to verify your account by including the following information:  

 

  1. Full name and address on pm account. ( Or province and postal code for newer accounts.)
  2. Email, phone # and pin #.

 

If  you cannot remember your pin # include at least three ( if they apply)of the following:

 

  1.  Date of birth (n/a on newer accounts.)
  2. Last payment, date, amount, type and last 4 digits.
  3. Alternate phone number if any.
  4. Security question and answer.
  5. Plan amount, any add ons or promos on account.
  6. Last 4 digits of sim card.
  7. Any rewards in your account.
  8. Autopay y/n?
  9. Account #.
  10. Frequently called/texted phone numbers in the last 30 days.  

 

The average wait time is 2 to 4 hours but be prepared to wait up to 48 hours for non urgent requests. Current wait times are about one hour and are probably even less as I have had some very quick responses in tne past week.

 

Keep an eye on your private message box the envelope icon next to your avatar for a little number to pop indicating a message from the CSA's (formerly moderators.) Responding promptly will speed up service times.

 

 Do not post any of this info in the community only in your private messages when communicating or contacting the CSA/Moderator_Team.

It looks like I misread your post. The advice still applies just switch positions with your friend and give them your ticket reference # so they can get their $30 bonus referral credit. thx @esjliv for pointing this out.

Ask your friend (the referrer) to check their "My Rewards" section of their self-serve account.

 

Under that, they'll see a right-facing triangle symbol.   If they click on that symbol, it will show a drop-down of numbers they referred to Public Mobile. (it'll display the last 4 digits)

 

Ask them if yours is there.

@20041973  - December 1st ? That has been many more than 3 days. Best to contact Customer Support as soon as possible if you notice something like this.

 

Are you sure it was not applied on your December 31st renewal? Can you check your payment history, to see if you see the $10 credit there?

 

Only Customer Support Agents (CSA) can confirm if a referral code was used. So, yes, inquire with them about it.

You'll have to contact a CSA to have them correct that.

Try sending a private message to CS_Agent   to get help from a CSA, since you're having trouble using the chat bubble and getting a ticket for help with that.

them can solve your issue, they are nice Service Team they will help you 100%.
