MMS Not Working

Tjames

My phone (Nothing Phone 3a) recently stopped sending and receiving MMS messages. I can send pictures via RCS but not MMS. Unless I restart the phone then it sometimes sends one upon restart, and then doesn't work again after that.

I have tried all the fixes online that I can find, APN reset and create new, toggled all the possible settings, restarted phone 100 times, pulled the SIM and restarted and put it back in and restarted.

I have lots of data, data is turned on.

I'm wondering if there is something that Public Mobile can do to reset my sim or my service or something? Or does anyone have any solutions?

This fixed my issue too. Thank you!

Solved! I was sure I had already done this. But realized that my phone says MMS proxy and I needed to enter mmscproxy.mobility.ca into that space. Did that and it's working now. Thanks everyone for your help.

Okay I found the MCC and MNC numbers and they are correct. Still cannot find the MMSC proxy. Have a ticket in now. Thanks

hi @Tjames

those are the main entries needed for MMS

if you still have trouble, you can check with PM agent, you can submit  ticket by direct message:

I have those APN settings except I can't view the MCC/MNC. Although my understanding is that it will automatically use the right ones for those if everything else is correct.

So is there any run around/hack for bypassing the legacy server issue?

hi @Tjames

Telus (PM) has retired some legacy servers and some non-Canadian phones are affected

and check if you have these APN settings

APN: sp.mb.com
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: mmscproxy.mobility.ca
MMS port: 8799
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
APN Type: default,supl,mms
