Regarding this kind of situations, the best way to solve it is to contact our chatbot, SIMon, here --> SIMon. He knows a lot of tricks to help you. 😊

@Hyvanessading  I recommend first try and see if you are able to see the "Data" on your self-serve account. 

 

1) Restart his phone/ turn airplane mode on/off  (see if this fixes it).

 

 Also, you might need to check   APN settings - Also known as (Access Point Names) 

on his phone and see if they are correct.

or you can  manually add new APN

To check the APN Settings follow these steps.

Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Network> Access Point Names>New APN

The settings should be as following:

 

Name: Public Mobile
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Leave blank
Port: Leave blank
Username: Leave blank
Password: Leave blank
Server: Leave blank
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Leave blank
APN type: default,mms,agps,supl,fota,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4
APN roaming protocol: IPv4
Bearer: Unspecified
MVNO type: GID
MVNO value: 4D4F

 

If you are still unable to get this working then please contact mods by creating a ticket as others have already mentioned.

 

start a conversation with the Public's virtual assistant, SIMon

  • Click The "?" at the bottom right corner.
    This connects to the Autobot Simon.
  • Type "Moderator" and follow the prompts to get to one.

          (CLICK on the "account-specific" question and human and submit a ticket)
           Type a message describing the problem and post.

If you run out of data before next renewal, here are some of the options:

Options to get more data:
1. If your current data limit does not meet your 30 days' need, you may change a plan with more data. You can do the plan from self-serve. You get your data back immediately with plan change.
2. If you want to renew the same plan early, you need to create a moderator support ticket using the ? button at the bottom right hand corner of this page. Moderator wait time is within a day. If your next renewal date is 1 day away, you may just on data diet for a few days until after renewal.
3. You can buy data add-ons $30 1GB data or $10 200MB data. Expensive option

I suggest you look into your plan, as others have asked you to do. Given that it's a "new cycle", there SHOULD be data available, but that then makes me ask how long you've had this plan? If it's fairly new plan, has data worked in the past? What I'm getting at, is I'm wondering if you haven't yet set up the correct APN settings, and thus far you've never had access to data on that plan..... is that possibly the case?

@Hyvanessading If you feel that there should be data in the plan, and that a mistake has been made. Please contact a moderator and explain your situation. Click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen . This connects to the autobot Simon.  Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one.  (CLICK on account specific question and human and submit a ticket).

And.... we aren't Public Mobile. We are customers like you offering help to determine what your problem is and how to fix it. No one can call you, you need to answer the questions asked of you so far.

Which plan is your son on @Hyvanessading ? And did you look in the self service account  to see  if there is data available? Thanks.

Please give us more information.

To check if you have DATA

Log into Your Self-serve account and see if you can see it.

It should look something like this

if you don't see it. That means you could have used it all.

@Hyvanessading , please log into your self service account and see if your data shows on  your overview page ie xxxx/ how much data. If it doesn't, it's used up. Thanks.

If you log into your account and scroll down to My Data and Addons. 

 

Does your data show there? If not , it means you used up all your data.

@Hyvanessading Can you provide more information? Are you talking about data addon/give away item? Maybe your apps used up all your data?
