Hi,
Whenever I make a call I get a recording stating that “long-distance charges may apply” even to my husband. I have already put +1 in front of his number and the call doesn't go through after the message. Anyone have the same problem and know the reason behind this.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
thanks

Can you please check if you still have any minutes left.
If not you can either by now minutes or do what I do when I run out
Get alternative free number with fongo
Call yourself using fongo, it's incoming hence free.
Click on transfer the call (in fongo app) and dial his number.
Fongo will disconnect and you can talk all long as you wish
If you are on 10 plan then the only way is to buy the add-on

@parisaayazi Are you on the $15 plan by chance? That plan gives you 100 outgoing minutes per 30 days of outgoing calls.
If you're on that plan. Maybe you used up all your outgoing minutes? To verify this log into your account and scroll down the "My data and add-ons" if you don't see any outgoing minutes there. It means you used up all your minutes.
To fix this. Buy a $5 add-on for 500 Canada wide minutes.
Two steps.
1- Add $5 to your account
2- click Purchase Add-ons and buy the add-on.
Let us know if that is the plan you're on and the problem! Thanks.

@parisaayazi , I do get this warning if I do not add 1 in front of the 10 digit number. Otherwise, from what I have seen, the system is smart enough to apply long distance minutes from add-ons where appropriate. Always be mindful that this service is prepaid. Technically there are no additional charges with the exception of debiting long distance add-on minutes for a call. If you have no long distance add-ons and are making calls to Canadian area codes, I would ignore any warnings.

@parisaayazi it could be because of the new long distance add-ons pm currently added, conflicting with current services.

What's the area code you're trying to call? Are you sure it is entered right?
What plan are you on?
