I spend most of my time between Vancouver and Toronto. If I set up a Toronto number and have Canada wide long distance package, will I be charged long distance when I use my phone number in Vancouver?

@Pokerchick @@@ Go Canada wide and you'll be fine across Canada. Or look into province wide and the long distance add on... However that means any call to or while your in a different province are extra. Sounds like you do a lot of inter-province calls travels & probably long distance (between bc & Ontario) so just go Canada wide from the start

@NDesaiwrote:@Pokerchick If you pick Canada-wide talk, you will not get charged for calling any number in Canada. Just remember that since PM is a pre-paid service, there is no overage charges. If you pick province-wide talk and add a long distance add-on, you will have either 200min or 400min limits to call outside of your province you are in.
I second the long distance add-on. It's $8 for 200 min and $15 for 400 min, and they don't expire if you don't use them up within your cycle. You can top up and keep in available for your next trip. You can monitor usage at Self Serve. One of my phone's has had a topped up add-on since last summer.
It might save you a few bucks if you know what your calling habits are. Like when you are out of town.

There is no such thing as roaming in Canada when it comes to Public Mobile. They don't allow you to connect to other networks, at least to my knowledge.
As for long distance charges, Canada-wide covers any of that while you are in Canada, whether you are making a call to a Canadian phone number or receiving a call (from anywhere).

@Pokerchick, it may be worthwhile to examine your calling habits and determine whether it is best buy long distance minutes or get a Canada wide calling plan. The long distance add on is pretty inexpensive option if you don't use a lot of long distance minutes each month. You can also optimize things by selecting either a Vancouver or Toronto number depending on where most calls will originate. Just a thought from cost savings perspective...
