LTE availability depends on several factors.
1. Your phone has the bands needed for PM's LTE service
2. The location you are in has those PM's LTE bands available to you

@PlanSeeker can you tell us what phone you are using? Please go into your settings to find the exact model number and then we can look at what LTE frequencies will work with Public Mobile.

I've been using LTE Band 2 most of the time on Public, while my phone does also occassionally connect to LTE Band 4. I've confirmed this using an app called LTE Discovery.

hi..
PM supports LTE band 4 only 1700 uplink ( aka send ) ...2100 downlink ( receive ) ...
your phone could cause a problem as only 1 of the 2 frequencies are supported....thus is scales down to the next best frequency which is 3G ( stronger more penetrating signal)...would be nice to know what phone you use....
cheers

Hey,
The main LTE band for Telus is band-4 (1700/2100). All the other frequencies may not always be available across the network.
Which phone are you using? Whats the model number?

Did you check your phone settings to make sure it's not set on 3G?
Go to dial and type *#*#4636#*#* ----->Device Information --->scroll down ----. Set Prefferet networkt. LTE.
Make sure you have LTE enabled. Or Go to settings, celuar network and choose from the list.
Also use this website to check if your phone really work on that bandwidh http://willmyphonework.net/
And i think it's 1700/2100 on Band 4.
