We are considering this smartwatch for our son. Can this be set up on your service with the $15/month plan?

I realize this is 15+ months old but ... did you get the watch? If yes, did it work?

I'm not sure if you know this, but the $179.99 is American dollars which means it costs around $233 CAD without tax or shipping.

If it is compatible with Telus, Bell 3G bands, then it will work.

@ryangoldvine The company claims it does. Uses a nano SIM. Allows APN settings. Public Mobile is listed as compatible.https://www.myticktalk.com/pages/t3-carriers
Tread carefully!

If you look into specifications you will see that 3g bands include those of telus/bell and most common 4g bands are there, so i see no reason why wouldn't that watch get on public mobile network

Only if the smartwatch has its own SIM card. There is no support for eSIM. It MUST support at least PM's 3G network frequencies:
4G LTE/LTE Advanced: 700 MHz, 850 MHz, 1900 MHz; 2100 MHz downlink with 1700 MHz uplink (AWS).
HSPA (3G): 850 MHz, 1900 MHz (UMTS).

Just to add on to my own comment:
I just sent the chat a message and they mentioned that they currently did not have any users using public mobile but they do know it works with Lucky mobile which is Bell's version of Public from the sounds of things. So my best guess is that it should work with Public.
Hope that helps!
Thanks

Hello,
Your best bet would likely be to ask the actual company. Just from quickly scrolling on the website I saw something about a list of compatible carriers and it seemed to just include american companies. There also seems to be a chat feature on the link you provided! Hopefully they would be able to give a bit more information.

There is also a quick thing about seeing if your device is compatible in this section of the website. Maybe check out if the watch is listed?
Good luck!
