I just switched from Fizz. I am using a Nothing 4a Pro and wondering, how long it takes for Google Messages to connect to RCS?
I've been waiting for many hours and it's still on connecting. Not sure how long it should take.

if it shows not compatible, it means it is not on the whitelist (the phone can have VoLTE but it might not be on Pm's VoLTE whitelist)
one more thing to check. Turn off Wifi, Make a call and confirm if the status bar shows LTE or 4G or 5G or 3G

It's not coming up on their checker but the VoLTE icon is present on the status bar..

Yes my phone has VoLTE. I found the solution. I uninstalled updates and installed again. It worked and it's connected

I will definitely follow that. I will do anything to get it working. I have many group chats going.

I would recommend going into your app settings, find Google Message, clear any app or cache data, and then reboot your phone.

first, did you check if Nothing 4A Pro is VoLTE whitelisted? if not, you are in trouble as you might not have voice call after March 2027. Use the IMEI checker here to confirm:

for RCS, it is more a Google issue. But make sure your disable your Fizz eSIM (or remove the physical sim card). And enable PM sim Reboot phone, then Reset network settings
if RCS still does not work, uninstall Google Message first (if it just show Uninstall Update or something like back to Default, click that). Then reboot phone and reinstall Google Message. Enable RCS and give it as much as a day for it to re-register
